It was a sad sight at the train station: a dog all alone, tied to a railing, and his only company was a suitcase filled with his stuff. The suitcase had a pillow, some food, a toy, and a food bowl. The Scottish SPCA got the call about the dog, so they hurried over to help him out.
They checked his microchip and found out his name is Kai. They learned that Kai’s first owner sold him back in 2013, but they had no clue where Kai went after that. The person who left Kai all alone at the station was a mystery.

Inspector Stewart Taylor from the Scottish SPCA had this to say: “Regardless of the fact Kai was left with his belongings, this was still a cruel incident and we are keen to identify the person responsible. If anyone can help we would ask them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
He also said, “Kai is around two to three years old and is a lovely dog with a nice nature. We will look after him until we can find him a permanent and loving home.”
In Scotland, it’s against the law to just leave animals like what happened to Kai. If someone gets caught doing that, they won’t be allowed to have pets ever again. That’s a rule that seems like a good idea for all places!
